Today 10th of March we had first lesson with Helena Aarnio. This lesson we were told about Dialogical method. At the beginning of lesson we went around classroom and have dialogue (conversation) with any partner and told, share our opinion, term, goals about dialogical methods and what we expect from today’s lesson. Further the teacher divided us into four groups with five participants in each group. In this group we introduced ourselves and told what our name means and what associated with our own name.
After lunch we were again divided into five groups with three-four participants in each. We listened to each other, each opinion, how we use dialogical methods for teaching. We had papers (dialogical cards or tickets) on the table. We use these cards, when we want to express our own opinion about these methods. Use the cards for us which gave us the opportunity listen carefully each other and speak in turn and it excluded disputes. I liked this methods, ways because each participant had the opportunity to express own thoughts, opinions. Furthermore we changed group and continue discussion about how we used the dialogical methods also we use dialogical cards and in this group we consider how we use to teach in the dialogical way.
And after all the discussions the teacher divided us by subject. And in this group we (Zhanat, Gulim, Aizhan and me) prepared what is different between traditional and dialogical methods and after each group told us about their own vision about this question.

Today 11th of March we had the second lesson with Helena. We continued with Dialogical methods, how we can use these methods.  At the beginning lesson the teacher asked us to stand forming a parabola. The teacher asked us to stand in descending order, on the one hand who thought that his\her understanding (listening) better, who thought his\her understanding less to stand on the other hand of parabola. After we stood opposite each other (with the one stands in opposite side of parabola) and have conversation, interesting “How are you today? ”  using another way to ask.
After this conversation we were again divided into groups. And in these groups we shared our own opinion about “How to be good listener?” and wrote our thoughts on the whiteboard and one of the participants told another about the group’s opinions.
The next task was pair work called “word-for-word”. In this task we must use criteria from the whiteboard, each of us from pair told two sentences using criteria from the whiteboard and next participants must repeat his\her sentence “word-for-word” not changing and missing words. And speak in turn five times by two sentences for each participant. It was interesting and a little bit difficult for me, because I tried to remember all the words of the sentence and of course I had the opportunity to hear my speech. And after this task we had feedback “How do you feel during and after this task?” and we shared our own feeling about this task.
After lunch in another group we had discussion about “Dialogical methods are useful in learning situations, if …” At first we wrote our own opinion in the notebook, and when we divided to group w shared our own opinion with each other. We had conversation about this in the other group. And next we had a conversation about this with the teacher, shared our opinion and at the end of the lesson we had group work and in this group we grew “What we studied today” and each group told us about their picture.

Today 12th of March we had the third lesson with Helena. At the beginning of lesson put a marker on the floor. She asked us consider the marker as method of dialogical learning and put ourselves concerning “dialogical method”. This is an opportunity to consider what your position is about pedagogical skills. After, we had some conversation about it. The next task was “What kind of aims, goals you have to take in developing your dialogical competence?”  We considered this question in small group. Each one had a possibility to express own aims, goal, opinion. Then we considered Method The art of inquiry – the power of questions. This method used for forming unbiased open question to open another person’s thinking. We performed this task in pair work. This task was difficult for me, because in this task we not only listened carefully, but gave questions about our participant’s topic. The main aim in exercise is to listen carefully to each other and give open questions. For example, one participant began to tell about any topic using only two sentences. And second participant asked him questions about his/her topic, continuing to ask questions. Questions must be from participant’s answers, continue common conversation.
The next task was Dialogical Attitude. First of all the teacher gave for our group task: to wrote about our own behavior about (concerning) three situations in conversation. For example, in firstly, how do you feel in situation of dialogical or knowledge creation you automatically consider yourself in some way superior (better) to others, in secondly, in some way inferior to others and in thirdly, you consider yourself equal with others. First of all we wrote our reflection, then we told about own conversation in another small group. After, one participant from each group told about each participant’s opinion of group. At the end of lesson we divided into groups by subjects again. In this group we summed up the three days, what we have studied for this these days. And we drew all of this on the paper and shared, telling all of the group.
